Tomorrow (July 24), Matt Smith and Karen Gillan (lead stars of Doctor Who) will be joining writer (and Being Human creator) Toby Whithouse and executive producers Piers Wenger and Beth Willis for a Doctor Who panel in Hall H.

 made an early appearance at the TV Guide Fan Favorite panel. He gave the fans a few teases about the remaining half of Series 6 set to return this September.

When asked about his favorite episode in his two-year tenure as the Doctor, he confessed that it's still to come. "The next episode... 'Let's Kill Hitler,'" says Smith. "[Creator] Steven [Moffat] is in fine form, and there's a great monster, which is important."

Sally Sparrow. Maybe it was just my Carey Mulligan bias or she was just awesome as Sally. I thought she was perfect for “Blink”, her strength and attitude were great and she was sweet and adorable. I know there is much love around for Sally to return as a companion but I think Moffat is right in leaving the character as is. Still, it would be nice to see her return for an episode, at least.

It’s because we’ve seen her as a child. I’ve been that child. That was what I thought about when I saw little Amelia Pond sitting in her garden on her suitcase, waiting for the Doctor. This was a lonely little girl, utterly brilliant and wonderful, who ached inside.

Eleven is my doctor. It is in him that I see the alien Time Lord who stole a magic box and ran away. He is my mad man with a box. Don’t get me wrong, I love Nine and Ten. They were the kind of lonely prince a lot of people fell for. And with Ten, I fell hard. I still imagine Ten as the Time Lord who will steal me away and take me on a date to another planet under a different sun. I’m still in love with Ten. But Eleven—you see, he’s the boy who fell in love with the adventure and at the same time the old man who made time and space his backyard. Eleven extended a hand to the child in me. The silly, childish, awkward alien visitor who sees delight in silly little things like bow ties and fezzes. The old man who came to see life as a pile of good things and bad things, who acknowledges that sometimes bad things happen but it doesn’t have to spoil the good things. He showed me that our life is only a story in the end and, more importantly, that it can be magical.
